Replacing the battery on my Casiotron 52 qs-14

Post01 Jul 2011, 17:58

Hello All

This is my first post so forgive me if I don't get it right.

I've owned my Casiotron 52 QS-14 from new when my parents bought it for me back, I guess, in 1978. I wore it until about 1982 when I got an Omega analogue at which time i took the battery out put it in it's display box put it in a cupboard and forgot about it. Now XX years later I've found it and its in pristine condition (I've always been a bit obsessive with my possessions)so I have thought about getting it going or letting my children have it to use (apparently there quite 'cool' to wear now!).

Big preamble but...my simple question is, I don't know what battery to use, and I can't remember how to insert it? I've tried to Google the model but can't find much.

Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for coming back to me so quickly with such great info and the picture. Do you recommend a battery manufacturer (Renata seem to be the most popular) and would you know which way up the battery goes?

Thanks Bryn
