HI TO ALL
I HOPE THIS INFORMATION ISNT ALREADY BEEN GIVEN OUT.
IF SO MY APOLOGIES.
IAM SEEKING WATCH CRYSTALS.
NOT THE "Cylindrical" E.G FROM "MAPLINS UK"
BUT THE OTHER ROUNDED RECTANGULAR SHAPED ONES.
IVE TRIED USING THE Cylindrical ONES TO REPLACE RECTANGULAR BUT NORMALLY NOT ENOUGH SPACE ALLOWED WITHIN THE LOCATION THE CRYSTAL SITS.
ANY HELP OR ADVISE..FOR A NEWBIE RESTORER.LOL

The crystals you mention are they like the ones found in NSC (National SemiConductor) modules, I'd like to know where to buy these too.

When I've replaced the rounded style with the can type I keep the wires as long as possible and gently bend them using a set of fine nose pliers so they sit under the crystal out of the way, if need be place a small bit of electrical tape over the wires so they don’t short on the can and stop the watch.

For example I've just done a can type crystal replacement on a Commodore module, heres a pic...
