hughes green module problem

Hi.

I had this module ower a long time and now some sections stopt working (marked with yellow line). They stopt working at the same time, so its not the segment wire problem. The problem is somwhere else.
I dont know enything about this modules. Does enyone had the same problem?
How can I fix it? Or is it fixeble at all?

Gave us a start on that subject line...those plastic hubs came in a variety of colors, generally means little. Thought you had some exotic green display Hughes module. Anyway.....

Actually, your prblem very likely IS a wire-bond, but not to the individual segment, but from the display driver chip down to the traces. If you carefully lift that top(first go around it with a sharp tool and dislodge the sealing rubber, then lift straight up), you will see that all three of those segment are connected to the same trace on the board - they don't light up at the same time due to the magic of "multiplxing"; basically they take turns, very fast, giving an impression of being on constantly. Anyway, follow the trace back to the chip - probably the wire bond has lifted of the board, seems to rarely be the wirebond has came off the chip at that end

Sorry about the confusing topic name :)

I opend it up and yes all three segments end up in one line and to one chip.
I dont have stereomicroscope yet so dont wanto go into repaairin the wire bond. I'm certain that i will do more damage then good.

There is so little room to to enything so dont know if im repairing it at all. Atleast for now.
