Battery type for Texas Instruments Model 403?

Post27 Apr 2010, 19:36

Hi All,

I recently purchased a Texas Instruments Model 403 LED watch that came with no batteries in it. Nice that there wasn't 20 year old leaky batteries in there, but I can't find any info on the net or on this forum which exact batteries are required. I'm sure there's lots of these out there and you might be wearing one right now! Could someone be so kind as to post this info for me?

Cheers!

Pity, seems it's a dead TI 403. On closer look, there must have been a leaky battery at some point and someone cleaned it up. There's some green corrosion barely visible on the metal parts near one of the batteries. Everything else looks ok though. I pulled out the module and had a look around, some corrosion on the time button. Doesn't look bad though. Maybe I stop buying watches from Ebay...

Best,
Shawn

Hi spinchb, you don't have to stop here....
It shouldn't be hard to find another TI with a 403 module. They come up often. In fact - the best thing would be to find one that is beat up on the outside but otherwise running fine. You'll pay less for a 'brain donor' this way. Plus there may be members on this site that are willing to sell you one....

Ok! Good suggestion. It's got a pretty good case, so it would be worth finding a module. Nice looking watch too.

Cheers,
Shawn
