Adam:
If you have the inclination, I'd suggest you mix up a drop of silver epoxy and a drop of regular epoxy separate from that. Use your silver epoxy at the contact connection point, then a little of the regular stuff on the side of the module, where it is supported by the plastic of the module. Silver epoxy isn't structurally strong, so anything you can do to support the entire contact will be beneficial.

Ed

Edit - egaads, you said connector(what kind, where) I was thinking "contact", as in button contact. UK collectors, where do you buy your epoxy...help this fellow.

Thanks Ed
i'll try that. Does anyone know where I can get the silver epoxy from and the right stuff to get. If I can get the normal epoxy from the same place that would be a bonus. From the UK would be good but it doesnt really matter.

many thanks

Alternative suggestion... MG Chemicals Part # MGC-8331-14G
Distributer in Florida...excellent product; I have used it for years with a very high success rate. Lists at US$24.86. They have a toll-free number to place order by phone 1-866-222-0030.

Bruce is right - MG is the stuff. I personally like it because the syringes it comes in are narrower in diameter than some of the competitors, so the pushers don't seem to get "cocked" like some brands. And looking thru the clear syringe, I've never noticed any settling or separating, which seems to befall some other brands. That little package will last through dozens(50+?) of repairs.

Cheers Guys but it doesn't look like they ship to the UK which is very disappointing. I'll have to try something else. Like the epoxy tip though Ed as there quite a large surface area on the battery connector on the Seikos

kind regards

Hi Adam.
I've used this stuff before and it's good:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Silver-Epoxy-Kit ... 413de5ad31

Silver epoxy in Australia is extremely expensive, and the one kit I bought locally, didn't last long. It had the stubby white syringes, and one of them clogged solid after a short while.

I've had these clear syringe types for a while now, and mix it very judiciously.....about half a grain of rice from each syringe is plenty.

Rgds,
Andrew.
