Pulsar P2 Correct way to adjust reed switch

Post17 Mar 2017, 01:12

Hello people,
Have a P2 which had a broken hour set reed, easy enough to replace however since then the display time reed is proving a bit over sensitive, sometimes leaving the second display showing for a few seconds after the button released. Fault only occurs when in the case so not the reed, button releases to the correct position. My question in, which is the recommended way to adjust the reed - as I require to de sensitise it, I can't move it back in the carrier, so I assume to adjust the reed is slid along the carrier, or twisted in the carrier to adjust orientation of the blades in the reed against the magnet. Which is the best method, or is there another I am missing ?

Thanks and regards to all.

Best approach is to change the rotational orientation. If you can, get a look at how the MIN switch is oriented, and replicate that. If turning more than 45 degrees from that (in either direction) doesn't get a proper response, you'll have to try another switch.
