TAG HEUER 864.130RPROFFESSIONAL 200 METRES

Post13 Jan 2013, 22:09

Hi All,

I just got a TAG HEUER PROFFESIONAL 200 METERS NUMBER SHOWN IS 864.130R , it has another number on the outside of the back case 964-013R, THE WATCH IS GOLD/STAINLESS STEEL.

My question is there any expert in the forum that can give some advice please on what battery or batteries this watch uses, eg 357, 386 etc, any help you can give me will be appreciated. I have not received the watch yet and just wanted to be prepared to order new batteries. :?:

Thank you,
Regards,
KARNAK.

Hi bucko 170,

Thank you for your reply and pictures of your watch. Mine is very similar, below the TAG HEUER insignia mine does not say 2000. also the wording at the bottom of the dial says "proffessional" and below that "200 metres". I spoke to TAG HEUER and they told me the watch was a WE1220 MODEL and it used battery number 395, they said they were introduced in 1993 and discontinued in 1998.

Otherwise your watch looks exactly like mine, I saw one on a web-site Watchfinder sold for £695 they claimed this was 35%below retail and it was a used watch but it looked fantastic.

Regards,
KARNAK.

Hi bucko 170,

Just spoke with TAG HEUER a few minutes ago and they confirmed my watch is in fact a divers watch but before you could use it in the water it would have to be resealed and pressure check done.

Regards,

KARNAK.

Hi bucko 170,

Thank you for your email and the interest you took in trying to help me. No I am not sending the watch to TAG, there prices are way too high, the watch is working perfectly, the strap was slightly twisted but my buddy is a jeweller and he had a guy there who was able to straighten it perfectly. Tag wanted £24  just to change the battery and pressurize the watch, well I have no intention of going diving nor wearing in water so I politely turned their generous! offer down.

Many thanks,
KARNAK.
