Working on Kensten Made Watch Mesh Bands

Post08 Feb 2013, 22:25

Hi,

I have several watches that have "kensten made" metal mesh watch bands. Typically these are gold plated and I like the look of them.

My question is I would like to clean the bands, etc.. What's the proper way to remove the bands from the case. There appears to be a "clip" on either side of the case attached to the band. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to pull on that or pry it up or what.

Also sometimes it seems the individual metal links / tiny straps start to seperate, is there any way to tighten up the indiviudal links or "bands"?

Thanks
