Seiko 0439-5009 question

Post13 May 2014, 21:34

Hey guys,
I haven't seen this way of securing the crystal on a 0439 before.
The ring covering glass and inner bezel, is it loose or pressed in. Can I remove it by pressing a screwdriver in the upper gap?
Thanks

get the pushers out, the glass is pushed to the front with a soft black rim between it. I cannot remember if the backplate is hold in place with the pushers or not. I broke the glass and suddenly i had the backplate in my hand so :-D

Thanks for the clear pictures Kasper!
Looking at them I expect to have the crystal come out too when I remove the ring, so I will keep it put and work on it this way. These crystals are a pain to attach properly...
