Cheapskates corner

Post18 Jun 2012, 22:25

HI all

Much as I love the Seikos etc (and I really loved the LED Benrus that went for 103 USD this weekend !) I have to watch the
pennies. However it seems you can still pick up a few pieces if you go 'off piste'..

1) Limit LCD (mid to low end brand from the UK) I thought the case might be stainless but now I'm not at all sure
most likely it is not but the plating is good if not as scratches do not show through. Unusual square Hong Kong module by
Elec Art !? with 2 set buttons (although only one does anything :-? ). If you cycle through the right hand set button you can blank display and set date instead of seconds, Heres pics..

Err only somehow the link to Picasaweb does not work  any ideas ? I would like to use this as it's an easy upload
from my Android smart camera-phone.

Just confirming that the photo's are visible.

The watch has a nice shape 8-)

What function do you think the none working button should have, light? You have probably already done so but it might be worthwhile checking the contact from button to module.

Interestingly shaped watch! I guess it doesn't have the light then. I like the band too! ;-)
