Very Unusual Celhor LED Watch.

Post06 Aug 2012, 17:17

Many of you have probably seen this one on DWF.cc (http://www.dwf.cc/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=704&p=3187#p3187) but for those who haven't here it is, I was very pleased to purchase the watch from Gary who made the original post (and took better photo's). The Mostek module that came with the watch was completely shot but I tried a 29mm Hughes module for size and found it to be a perfect fit, so maybe the Mostek module was not original to the watch?

The Hughes module I fitted the watch out with has a fixed message 'Your Place Or Mine', I thought the watch deserved something a little different to compliment it's unusual looks.

A size comparison photo of the watch next to a Pulsar P2.

What a strange shaped watch! It looks like a Tetris block. I've checked your gallery previously, but I totally overlooked this one! It surely looks funky!

Nice one, second special shaped one in a few weeks.
Btw i was wondering how the inside looked? Does it have a longer settings pin or?

It certainly is a strange shaped watch, unfortunately I have been unable to update my gallery for quite some time, since the forum changed hands uploading and editing photo's in the gallery has not been possible, I am waiting for Hanno to get things back up and running again.

Thanks Kasper, this one is in an entirely different league to the Rodania, pure nuts, kind of like an ugly baby with a face that only a mother could love, but luckily papa loves it too
Funny that you ask about the setting pin, although the spring action was still functioning the inner section of the setting pin was snapped off internally, the case was that thick I was able to use an insulated piece of wire, cut to the correct length, to fit inside the hole and make the contact from the setting pin to the module when the set button is pushed but also short enough to break the contact when the button is released so as to not put the watch into permanent set mode.

I think it falls into the 'only ever seen one of these' category, although I agree that might not be such a bad thing

I think the Rodania might be more to your taste.....

I bet the tetris was designed in GB. And I like it! The design is so off-wall, that wearing the watch alone would keep me smiling during the whole day.

I have to admit, first time I saw the photo of this watch, I thought it was a Photoshop job. It wasn't until I took a closer look that I was convinced that it was even real.

Opinions are bound to be mixed, but I like it! (great psuedonym too, "The Tetris").

p.s. When you get a chance, perhaps you could post a photo of the interior.

I am not sure where it was designed but you definitely notice it when you wear it, it is not exactly subtle.

The Tetris would of been a great name for the watch, I wonder what the other watches would look like if this watch was only one from a series of Tetris watches, please feel free to show your 'Photoshopped' ideas. ;-)
I will try to get a photo of the interior uploaded soon.
