Watch Job Lots

Post18 Aug 2012, 15:19

Occasionally I pick up a job lot of watches which normally end up in disapointment but not this time. Noticed this on ebay a few weeks back and got them all for £13. Mainly got them as I spotted a nice Novus LED in with the other quartz watches which included a Pulsar and a Seiko. As per usual just trying the watches with new batteries didn't get any of them working

When I opened the Novus the module was in a bad state with contacts burnt off with a past battery leak however I did have the same module but it would only show 1 digit. Thinking (well hoping) it was the QC I followed the hints and tips on this recent thread (towards the end of viewtopic.php?f=65&t=5670) amongst others (thanks Ed) and voila - my first ever go at replacing a QC. It seems to be running fine and has a DOW function as well.

Strange that after a bit of contact cleaning these 3 are also working fine - luckily including the Pulsar (middle) and Seiko (left). Don't know anything about this pair but the Pulsar has an engraving dating it to 1992. Anyone know much about it?
