Bulova: A Space Odyssey

Post17 Jan 2019, 23:46

I just picked up this Bulova 1974 N4 LED last week. I really like the display on this watch and I think it looks great paired with my favorite book: (My apologies if the pictures come out odd, my forum skills are a little rusty)

LED watches are quiet and polite. No ticking, no tocking, no beeping, no buzzing; they will only tell you the time when you ask to see it and they will do so instantly with no attention-seeking animations. A more civilized watch for a more civilized age.

Thanks, Kasper — What would you recommend?

The only thing that really bothers me about this nigh-awesome watch is that the two links that connect the head to the bracelet (the one in the traditional 12 O'clock position and the one in the 6 O'clock position) are both very loose and twisted and a bit dented. This may not be easy to see in the pictures but is very noticeable in person; I will try to post some close-ups.

I can't see any way that would be repairable and I am sure that I will soon not even notice it.

Congrat, one of my favorite watch, I love this space design.
I read that it's difficult to find a model that works because the crown is defective.
