I did not use any special tools I just dabbed the black recessed parts with a black marker and used a tiny bit of brasso or silver polish to polish the excess away keeping the cloth flat so as to not remove the colour from the recessed parts.

PS: Photo added to my previous post.

Logo restored successfully!

Thank you Mick! I can try this method on my P2. I don't have the brasso, but I hope that rubbing the excessive ink out with a soft cloth will do the job. :-)

EDIT: I'm going to use a 0,1 mm marker pen, and covering the area that surrounds the logo with duct tape, to avoid any kind of excessive ink. Luckily I just have to restore few letters, such as part of the P and the lower part of the "u", "s" and "a". Hopefully the logo should turn out well. :-)

EDIT 2: I've bought the marker and after two minutes, here's the restored logo. It looks waaaaay better. Thank you Mick! :-D

Is nice to have Bruce back feeding us with information. I learned a lot reading his posts.
Practically olmost everything I know about pulsars. To his credit now I have 12 pulsars
2 nice ones I bought from Him.

This was my first attempt to fix a non working oscillator, I was successful, but the missing segment
still needs to be address. By the way module keeps excellent time with less than 1/2 second loss a day, not bad.

That's great! :-) It's always something that gives you a lot of satisfaction when you manage to restore or repair your own watch. Despite the logo restoration is something very simple, I've found it very rewarding, now my P2 looks amazing! :-D
