This Friday's watch:

Mini motion by Yves Behar
One of my all-time favourites, extremely comfortable to wear.
And because it's actually a car accessory (BMW mini), it matches well with my new desktop wallpaper ;-) (more images of the car)

This beauty today. I still think it's magnificent and it's too close to call between this and my P2

I could not take a duff photo of this one. For some reason they all came out just lovely. :-D

I almost took the red Majestyk-2 this morning, but then decided for this:
ImageImage

o.d.m. MDD99-1 "Mr. Metallic", a 238g heavy polished steel monster.
The LCD background is a mirror, like the rest of the watch 8-)
It has a "flick of the wrist feature" to switch display mode.

(edit 2008-10-15: re-uploaded picture with date display)

The same watch every day? Really? This is almost a reason to be banned ;-) But the vtec alpha is a nice one, so you will be forgiven.

Old school, modern, who cares - the main thing is that it is DIGITAL ;-) (my home is the Modern LCD Watches section)
BTW LEDluvr, I thought you are from London, see here (5th picture) ;-)

I hear you rewolf - DIGITAL ALL THE WAY!!! :-D

 I saw that cartoon a week ago! Fuh-nee! I've been laughing about
since then. I was going to email Ed telling him I'm from LA, not London,
but never got around to it. I'm sure his daughter took a wild guess at the name.

Then again.. maybe 'he' really is 'me'... and I'm the bugger who's been out bidding him all this time!

Ok Ed, tell me how much you really wanted to win that last auction.
I might be willing to make you a deal... ;-) J/K of course!

She guessed at all of it...I sometimes tell her what's happening with me while we are driving, and she took it from there.
She spelled it "LedLuver"

New installment tomorrow morning(my time), but here's the lead in clip.

Yes, I noticed she used an extra 'e' in LEDluvr. She's a talented young lady, and it seems she knows her daddy pretty well!

Thanks for sharing - I'm looking forward to the next installment. :-)

Post07 Sep 2007, 14:32

As we want to continue this topic here, for completeness the older threads:
Friday 10th Watch time.....
Friday 17th
Friday 24th
Friday 31st

As for today, I forgot to wear something special and took the one I wear most - I have to wear it once or twice a week, else it runs out of energy - because it has a generator instead of a battery. When it's fully charged it has power reserve for several months, but mine is never fully charged. Some people say it combines the disadvantages of analogue (mechanical parts) and digital (readability) watches ;-)

I have a similar problem. I received two jump hours back from Piotr today so I've got one on - no photos taken yet but I'll get one posted on Monday (vista won't recognise my camera so I use the works XP. Wish I'd never bought the software  ) No M1 - the batteries are dying rapidly on my blue.

These twins are what I've been alternatingly wearing since Friday. The gold one is just perfect for a summers day with a T shirt. I really like these. I was going to chuck the gold bracelet but it looks a lot nicer when worn. Thanks to Azi pl for salvaging it as it was my first duff purchase off the bay and got me my only negative (retaliatory  ).

Image

No I couldn't be bothered winding the gold one's date round to the correct one - no quickset.

Really very nice watches Fitron! I agree the gold one looks better with bracelet - gold with strap always looks a bit cheap IHMO. But anyway I prefer stainless steel ;-)

The silver one came about when I was showing a friend how to use ebay. I typed in Tenor Dorly and much to my surprise this one popped up with about 3 hours to go from austria. I bunged in a low bid and got it pretty cheap :-P The gold one was supposedly a UK seller but turned out to be in Thailand and the watch was stuffed. Paid twice as much as the silver one  but it works now - slightly tempramental when setting but keeping good time. Apart from piotrs site jumps barely exist on the web. I'm looking forward to Ed's article on them.

Gold with strap - I'm really in agreement with you but I've two watches that are GP and have straps -really annoying but they're both 18mm lugs and it looks soooooo weedy. I need an 18mm lug on a wider strap or bracelet - if you check out the gold jump it has a wide bracelet that thickens it up nicely.
