seiko f441-4010 superthin dress watch

Post11 Jan 2013, 14:08

Never saw this one before but it has to be also one of the thinnest ..a male dress watch 3.5 mm thick ...almost in perfect state.
with date and a nice goldish background.

Great catch!!I never heard before this model....
Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

It does seem to be similar to the Seiko F623 series, in shape and thickness. I find it amazing that in the early 80's we were able to get digital watches that had a total thickness including the case to be around 3 to 4 mm.

So what happened?? Watches now are so huge, as well as thick that it's hard to find anything made today that is under 10mm lol.

Fantastic catch Casper, i havent seen a vintage digital this flat before. I think it deserves a superflat black or brown (better) leather band to make it complete. Enjoy wearing this Seiko!

That is definitely something different! Increadible, 3.5mm! Obviously, it first became a challenge to make watches smaller and smaller. Then everybody realized they have lost their charm and they should actually be the size of a U-boat :-D

I like big watches though, the only problem with the heavier ones is that they tend to hang towards one side of your wrist unless you tighten the strap a bit further than comfortable. Don't know how to solve that problem but it is sometimes annoying me..... :-?
