My not working Orient LCD

Post28 Nov 2013, 18:53

I got this as not working, I removed the four (4!) batteries that were crammed into it, did a quick clean of the contacts and placed two batteries of the correct size.

And this is the result so far :) (still needs some cleaning)

super nice module

No idea how old the watch is (neat serial :) 00028 ) But surely early seventies. Also very cool that you can turn the display off!

Well the watch was released in 1976 (info by Orient) :-D
Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Lovely Orient Simone :)
I like their robustness and the fact they are less "common" than Seiko lcd watches :)
