Greiner quartz tester, nixie tubes :)

Post21 Jan 2015, 22:14

I got this neat seventies watch tester :)

Here's mine, currently showing my Longines tuning fork watch is running a bit slow.
Image
The tuning fork watch is laying on the "inductive pickup" microphone, the middle one "reads" analog quartz and mechanical watches.
and it also "reads" lcd and led watches with the other "needle thingy" pickup!
Image

The analogue meter currently displays the signal strength ("gain") of the microphones. (to be adjusted with the knob on the right of the machine)

And electro mechanical watches like this esa 9150 watch.
Image

I see a lot of pictures with this more elaborate "microphone", but I don't think I really need it at the moment.

A manual would be nice though :)

Indeed :) I discovered that the "acoustical sensor" also reads lcd quartz watches :) With that sensor alone I can measure mechanical, analog and digital quartz watches!
