First Binary lcd watch 1989

Post18 Mar 2016, 21:14

The binary clock comes from the mind of the now deceased Mr. Linder Rene (Switzerland ) . Mr. Linder was owner of the company Tech Ral SA in Mendrisio , canton Ticino , where he produced compensators for adjustments and studied the rotary engine , having a passion for mechanics.
At the beginning of the distant '80s , fascinated by the binary system , patented the clock is concerned, with a Japanese firm orders to build them. They never reached the expected success , in practice was never able to place them and remained in the company warehouse in Switzerland several years .
Now Mr. Rene is gone and the widow donated the clocks to my father , faithful decade worker of her husband's company .
My father costodisce jealously this " precious " inheritance of about 60 units , fully functional ( as you have personally seen) .

This was an Italian translation of the daughter of a worker who all the watches were donated to.
thx Patrizia :Hi:

the european patent is from 88-89..but here you can see a copy from the American patent filed a little later.
