Do you bid against a fellow forumer, just rambling.........?

It has happened to me once before, but I plead ignorance as the Id's were kept secret.

I know all is equal in love and war but I don't really want to bid against forumer that has an obvious ID.

The scenario is that I have ordered a Synchronar from Synchroserious (good moniker) but would also like to try my hand at a Synchronar repair. One just sold to US bidders only for 77.00 dollars! The next one is being bid on by OLDPULSAR, but I would seriously like to get a hold of one. I am very tempted to bid but don't want to interfere with a fellow collector and restorer.l

I have restored, as you know about 5 HP 01's, and also an HP 97, 91, 5; HP 67's and 4; HP 41cx for myself and clients so I might have the expertise to restore an older Synchronar.

So the questions are:

a) Anyone out there just bid and forumers be damned

b) Anyone out there got one they know is not a write-off (can you ever tell) that may be repairable and are willing to sell it?????????????

Just rambling after a bottle of champangne with my wife (she had the other half on my 50th birthday today).

Cheers all, Geoff

and Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!11

I have beenoutbid and outsniped by too many forum members too often to give any quarter to them. However, I don't bear grudges, there's always something else to come along and be bought.

I guess if you're after LED watches it's inavoidable to bid against forum members...
In the past I have refrained from bidding when I saw that certain members had already bid (because they would win anyway), but bidder IDs are hidden now...
