I've always thought "Uranus"(Your Anus) was a very funny name...and from the crappy internal design of the early ones, I'd say someone had their head up their "bung". That or lots of '70s drugs. 8-) Space related names seemed to be close second to the 'tronics' - Polara, Pulsar, Terrestrial, Quasar, Saturn, Jupiter, Appollo(Vantage/Hamilton), Telestar....and I guess "Zodiac" would count, since astorlogy is based on moon phases and movements of the planets.

And don't forget "Phasar" .
That gets double credit in my book = both futuristic and Star Trek related! (Even if it's spelled differently) :-D

Let's not forget "Pultron". I wonder how many people bought one of those thinking they were getting a Pulsar?

Especially in German: "Zitrone" is a lemon - and also used in a figurative sense for a flawed product. If you pronounce "Zytronic" in German, it sounds exactly like "zitronig" = "lemonlike/lemonish"

My personal list of funny/odd LED watch brands:

1. Ariel (Which is also a washing powder brand in germany)
2. Compuchron - dont know how to spell thier own name, sometimes appears as "Compu Chron", sometimes as "Compuchron"
3. Croton - sounds like the french "Crouton", bread crumbs
4. Fairchild - CHild Labor???
5. Helbros - who wants a watch directly from hell's Bros?
6. Hughes Aircraft - reminds me of Mitsubishi: "We produce everything but green tea"
7. Infinite Time - Most people that wear a watch have rather limited time
8. Junghans - Where's Oldhans (German joke)
9. Kingsonic - = we ran out of ideas???
10. Macy's - WHat about Cathy's or Robert's?
11. Quartus - sounds rather like a Gladiator
12. Sabre - why not "Assault rifle", Sabres are outdated
13. Sicura - I'd buy a lock from a company like that, but a watch?
14. Swissonic - Oh come on, swiss patriotism. Why not cheesesonic?
15. tel Star - not to be confused with the sattelite
16. Time-Date - Awesome name for a watch, no comment
17. Trafalgar - only "King George" could sound more english
18. Vulcain - Mr. Spock???
