Microqualrtz LED watch

Post30 Mar 2010, 18:17

I just purchased a Microquartz LED watch wih a Hughes aircraft module. It has the dot matrix display. Does anyone have infomation on this watch? And when the 8 oclock position button is pushed it only shows the day and not the month is this normal?
Thank you for your help.

Thanks Peter I found out its a quite early watch 72 or 73 possibly. It sold for $300 bucks in those day, just paying for the technology, although the quality of the case is very nice.

Just to tag on here - you can swap that module out for a slightly later one that has "leap year" function. It won't be that dot style display though, segments instead.

I wonder which Hughes module would have that function? And would I be devaluing the watch by replacing its orginal module?
Thanks for the help.

Keep in mind you don't have to discard the original module. Just replace it with the newer one and store the original in a safe place. If you decide to sell it later, put in the original module back in and you're back to the original specs and value. (Whatever that is....?)

The programmable Hughes module could also be used as a replacement

Not in my opinion, I think it's a great module and I love the early dot display and do you really needs to be reminded what month it is? Maybe sometimes late on a Friday night after a few beers I have had the need
