New release! Photo Books of "LED watches"

Post09 Oct 2009, 22:11

Hello.
This is my first posting.
I'm a watch collector in Japan.
Have anyone seen my web site?
http://www.juno.dti.ne.jp/~hamahal/

I’m writing you today with an information of photo book series for wristwatches.

I planed and wrote them to introduce interesring watches as many as possible.

The name of series is “Mondo Watch”.

Image

At first we publish 2 books for LED digital watches.
Pulsar, Omega, Bulova, Longines and so on about 50 models are in Vol.1.
And HP-01, Uranus, GP, Synchronar, Heuer, and other many brands about 50 models are in Vol.2.

All text are Japanese / English bilingual.
The size of them is almost CD jacket.
They are all-color, hard-cover style and 176 pages each.

They will be released on 16th Oct. in Japan and sold by international agency in near future.

We have started blog site with some sample photos and contents on my books.

http://mondowatch.blog88.fc2.com/

If you had an interest in it, please check it.
I hope these books are useful for many LED watch collectors.

Have a nice watch life!

Yes, the price of each is 2,310 Japanese Yen on amazon in Japan.

But I don't know the price of overseas.

I heard that now the publisher is going to make arrangements with amazon.com and other book dealer out side of Japan to undertake agency for the distribution of my books.

Hi,
Thank you for your compliment.
We can recommend that almost all the photos were taken by ourselves.
And we are also very careful about the appearance.

holly35 :
Hi,
Thank you.

Your question is perceptive.
Yes, we are going to publish books about LCD watches as well.

Now we make be planning 7 books for "MONDO WATCH" series.

Vol.1&2 are LED, 3&4 are LCD, 5 is Mechanical digital and unique time-display, 6&7 are odd style analog watches.

I'm thinking that the LCD collection on my books would be not only early models but also the latest.
Of cource it is only a tentative plan and we have to make good sales for these 2 LED books. ~:(
So that please cooperate to notify the LED watch collectors of my books! ;-)

Thanks.

H A L,
it's exciting to hear that you are planning a series of these books.
Just one request.. please consider making at least 1 book that covers the early LCD's from the 1970's. Seiko and Casio were pioneers in this field and their accomplishments must honored! :-D

LEDluvr :
Thank you for your request.
Yes, I have a mind to cover early LCD models made in Japan.
Especialy the following models should be introduced : SEIKO 06LC, 05LC, CITIZEN Crystron LC, RICOH RIQUARTZ LCD, ORIENT LCD, CASIO CASIOTRON and so on.
I'm a Japanese, so that I'm proud of Japanese products. Haha...

But there are innumerable LCD watches have been made up to now.
I'll try to select about 100 valuable models and find to take photos of them. :-D
It would be hard work to do. ~:(

Klippie :
The release of my books will be on the day after tomorrow.
I have to get them for some of my friends.

I asked to publisher where they would be sold at overseas.
But I have not gotten the answer yet.

I will be able to sell them to you directly.
But as you know the shipping cost doesn't come so cheap.

regards,
