Oops, I forgot shipping cost. Some months ago I bought a pocket calculator (Casio VX-4) form Japan via ebay. Shipping was US$14. Not too much for a huge calculator. Shipping from Spain to Germany is usually more expensive...
I buy books either at a local book store or at www.amazon.de - but I'm afraid both will not be of much help to you.
I understand what you need is a small retailer with a webshop who can purchase say 100 books from you and sell them one by one to customers in Central Europe. Same for US etc.

Of course I can sell anyone on this community directly.
But you know the international shipping cost is quite high.
So that the publisher looking for the international agency could order mass dealing.
Now the publisher is asking to conclude the business negotiations with some agency.
But we don't know much about western market.
Therefore I want to know where you have bought any books in your country.

@ H A L:
Is payment by PayPal possible?
I could distribute in Germany for forum members, so you can send several examples to my address and I forward them to the others. Sending books within Germany is rather cheap: http://www.deutschepost.de/dpag?xmlFile=link1015399_893
1kg: 1,40€

International shipping:
http://www.deutschepost.de/dpag?tab=1&skin=hi&check=yes&lang=de_EN&xmlFile=link1017156_1009448
1kg to UK: 4.50€

So that makes 2 sets already :-)

@ H A L: Can we see a few sample pages? I'd like to know how much information there is in the books, besides your doubtlessly wonderful photographs. Is it the same text as in your blog?

I'm sorry to have kept you waiting for my reply.
Thank you for your order. :-D

Yes, I can accept the payment via Paypal.

I'll calculate the shipping cost to Germany.
Please wait for a moment.

And there are almost same text as in the blog.
That is not my blog site.
But the publisher and designer manage it.
Some of photos on my books are same on the blog, but some photos are different.

You can see some sample pages on amazon.co.jp.
http://www.amazon.co.jp/s/ref=nb_ss?__m ... ch&x=0&y=0

Thank you for your patience.

I asked to the post office about an international shipping cost.

The airmail shipping and handling cost of 2 books (1 set) to Germany or UK is 2,000 JPY.
The cost of 4 books (2 sets) is 2,700 JPY.

These are about 1 week delivery.
Surface is a little cheep but it takes about 2 months.
1 set : surface 1,200 JPY
2 set : surface 1,800 JPY

My books are a little heavy.
3 sets and more would be over 2kg, so the shipping cost becomes quite higher.

3 sets : airmail 6,500 JPY, surface 3,500 JPY
4 sets : airmail 7,500 JPY, surface 3,500 JPY
5 sets : airmail 9,000 JPY, surface 4,000 JPY
10 sets : airmail 14,500 JPY, surface 6,000 JPY

If you wanted to buy from me directly, please send me a private message.

regards,
H A L

Ok, airmail shipping:
1 set = 14.50€
2 sets = 20€ = 10€/set
3 sets = 47€ = 16€/set
5 sets = 65€ = 13€/set
10 sets = 105€ = 11€/set

So it doesn't quite make sense to order more than 2 set at once. And forwarding to outside Germany won't save money because it adds 5€ to shipping from Japan.

Hi HAL,
What the weight of 1 book?

It looks like the price by SAL (surface) drops considerably above 5 kg.
So maybe it's not so interesting for 10 sets ,what about 100 sets?

rewolf :
Thank you for your understanding.
I don't have a lot know-how about the international shipping.
But you are right that 2 sets shipping is the best, according to the calculation.

CompuChron :
It looks about 325g/book, so about 650g/2 books (1set) without package.
The shipping cost was calculated by airmail small parcel.
I can send them by airmail treated as printing matter.
But the post officer advised me that depending on how the package be treated by the way, the cover of books and so on may be broken.
So that I decided small parcel shipping.
Please understand it.

Yes, I can also ship by SAL about 2-3 weeks delivery.

1 set : 1,500 JPY
2 set : 2,000 JPY
3 sets : 6,000 JPY
4 sets : 6,000 JPY
5 sets : 7,250 JPY
10 sets : 10,500 JPY

But I felt not so cheaper way.

In case of over 10 sets, I think it would be better to deal with the publisher directly.
I'll introduce the company.
If you wanted, please let me know.

regards,

What early LCD model should be introduced?
Please let me know your idea.
I have some, but I have to find them to take a photo.
That's a problem.

Thank your for asking H A L....

Here are a few suggestions:

Early Seikos:

0624-5009
0634-5019
0634-5009
A039-5009 (world's first digtial w/ alarm?)
A239-5000T World Timer
M159-5009 (just because I like it :-) )
A156-5020 (Seiko's first solar watch?)

James Bond Seikos:

A159-4019 Moonraker
M354-5000 Moonraker
G757-5020 Ocotopussy

maybe include pictures of others from the G757 series as it is still very popular?
Perhaps also the Seiko that the US Space Shuttle astronauts used in the 1980's? I forget the model number on that one....

dont forget pulsars last digital watch , the dress lcd model

Thank you for every one bought my books.
I hope you will enjoy them.

BTW Japan Post released that they decided to stop shipping the package over 16oz to US from Nov. 17.
The reason why the US postal safety standard was strengthen for terrorism.

So that I'm sorry that I cannot send 2 books to US address for the present.
