Missing Person inquiry

Post08 Aug 2024, 16:37

Does anyone know what’s going on with Bruce Wegmann? I’ve been trying to reach him for about six months with no luck. I’ve called numerous times, like every other day for weeks leaving messages most of the time. I’ve emailed him using both his personal email and email through DWF. Nothing.
This is starting to feel a lot like the story from primepulsar from a year ago. (Look it up. It’s on the DWF) Bruce has two BigTime Pulsars of mine. The first one I sent prior to Thanksgiving and the other at the beginning of this year. I saved up for years to get the first one while the second one just fell into my lap at a price I couldn’t pass up. I’m not a collector by any stretch of the imagination. Just an old, retired guy with a couple of daily wearers. These watches are my favorite. And, now when I reach out to him – crickets.
This is strikingly strange to me because he’s done other work for me over the past five years or so and there was never a problem or an issue. His extensive knowledge of the Pulsar brand and how the watches are constructed is mind boggling. Over the years we’ve had extensive conversations not only about Pulsars but a wide range of subjects. I enjoyed these conversations and always learned something when we’ve talked. I counted him as a friend and thought it was reciprocal.
I’ve played with the thought that maybe there’s a health issue. I just can’t come up with a plausible reason why he’s ghosting me.
If anyone has any information or insight that could be shared, I would be most grateful.

Yeah this is exactly what happened with me in 2019. Sent him two P2’s to see if he could replace the segment drivers. He said it would be $50 per watch if he could fix them, no cost if he couldn’t. Never heard from him again about them. Calls, emails, posts on this forum. He refuses to take responsibility and just gets combative.

Honestly at this point the moderators need to pin one of these posts because he is stealing watches. There is a pinned post for a stolen calculator watch. He can’t keep doing this to people. If he can’t complete the work he shouldn’t be taking people’s watches. Just don’t offer that service.
