18k P3

Post30 Nov 2021, 00:56

Ran across this auction in Germany. Nice looking watch, gold leaf Pulsar logo a bit worn but to be expected from a watch of that age. Would not mind bidding on it but the 28.57 additional fees really jack the final price up not to mention what they would charge for shipping. I love the purple hue from the time screen on these 18K models. Curious to see what it sells for. https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auct ... e50135ee32

Hammer would be 5,785.65 plus 20% import fee = 6,942.78 euros. Plus postage makes it way too expensive. That's why its been auctioned 3 times without a sale. No less a rare time piece that I'd love to own.

Sometimes you just have to know when to walk away. Good summary.

Below 100km to be picked up from my place. Do I want it for 5785€ as Lloyd already mentioned? Probably not.

Oh it didn't sell for the 4th time ? I'd buy it for €4500 without 28.5% commission :grin1:

When I looked at auction page, it showed Hammer Price Passed. Does that mean it sold this time ? Yeah, it's the 28% plus auction fee that makes it a real turn off. I would give $6K for it without the fees.

At the auctions I've attended a Pass indicates bidding did not make reserve.
