Yes...I have spoken directly to the owner. Picked it up at an estate sale for next to nothing (well below the $6000 melt value). I do have the complete serial number, but can't reveal it without his permission (if it sells, that restriction lifts). Definitely "new" in the sense that it hasn't been seen by collectors before now, so my estimate of 50 surviving examples just got a bit more accurate... He has offered it to me, but, for the time being, I'm happy with just ten.

Even MORE significant...a SECOND 14K P1 has surfaced (no box or papers, serial number P305604...mine is 602). So, there is absolutely no doubt that Time Computer did, indeed, do a "run" of 14K cases (possibly 65, as documented in Time Computer correspondence with Star Watch Case Co.). There may even be a third, but, until I have a serial number, I am not counting it as verified. These have goldfilled bracelets, stainless magnet covers, and thicker, glass (NOT ruby) timescreens.

Still looking for one of the "wear samples", if anybody's looking to part with one...

i too have the complete serial number on the p1, (don't know why that's a secret ?) is the 14k p1 on line for sale ?

I tired to buy this 14k P1 a couple of years ago but the buyer disappeared. I see its the same serial number as Bruce mentioned.

So much for the Evil Ones pompous, imperious, and WRONG proclamation that "No 14K P1s were made, and none exist." Anyway, it was fun having a unique watch for a while. The only real disappointment is that the serial number wasn't higher...something closer to 65. That would have clinched the accuracy of the letter that stated that 65 14K cases HAD been made (personally, I'm confident that it is). All other factors being equal, proportionately, there should be one 14K P1 out there for every seven 18K ones, so we might expect to see at least a couple more 14K ones to surface in the coming years. I'm guessing these were made significantly later, along the the lines of the 2975 P2, or the 3115 P3.
As to value...I can't believe they could be worth any less than the 18K ones, given the rarity.
As far as I can determine from my records, the only 14K P1 to ever appear on eBay is the one currently in my collection.
