Hours and minutes set directly with the magnet. To set month, press DATE button and place magnet in HR recess. To set DAY, press DATE and TIME buttons simultaneously and place magnet in HR recess. Date will advance and AM/PM dot will cycle up and down. Remove magnet when display and AM/PM indicator are correct. You can reverse the AM/PM indicator without changing the date by running the HRs foreward 12 hours. Instructions apply to Pulsar P3 models also.

What's it doing [or not doing, as the case may be]? Damaged switches or weak magnets are the usual culprits here...

Does it set the hours? Does it display the date? If it shows the date, and does set the hours, there is probably a logic defect in the clock chip. Otherwise, the problem is a bad switch.

Bruce, it displays and sets the hours ok, displays the date and month but will not set them, they are frozen.
