FURTHER FRAUD in glass land.

Post08 Jul 2007, 20:48

While writing this month's Digital Article for www.thedigitalwatch.com, I noticed in Simon Alexander's description of the Pulsar glass, how he crowed about being the one to bring us a stash of NOS Omega glass. I started to sweat - oh crap, I bought an Omega off him!!

You guessed it, the logo is as fake as can be. :x

Have you tried using a watch material house?
Most older Omega parts are available but they are sometimes newly made rather than NOS.

Both those threads are regarding the same, single piece of glass. ODD thing is, Omega hasn't been selling those crystals to the public for 3-4 years. When did they start up again? Maybe they got them from some guy at the airport," pss, pss, hey Mr., want to buy a fine piece of glass".

I have an extensive collection of Omegas - Analogue, LED,LCD....only one with a piece of that "flake printed" type of glass(bought from Simon). We STILL don't have any explaination for why the P2 glasses sold by Simon shows a shadow of a logo that was polished off, and some of the PRINTED ones show a logo that was polished off at the opposing corner. And none of them are nearly as flat as an original glass. :?:
I thought we were letting this die down.......
