OK, let me summarise here:
1. Howards Dad was a genius who produced the Worlds first solar powered watch, on a shoestring budget.
2. There has been claims for many years that it was the first digital watch and pre-dates the 'recognised' first digital watch, developed by a team for Hamilton and J Bergey.
3. Howard had proof of this in the form of paperwork and a working watch - which was given to the Smithsonian in June 2006 See here

Back to documentation for the common interest. the Smithsonian visit went well and they will have some answers on Horolgy for anyone interestred in contacting them about the invention and achievement of the most advanced Watch, THE SYNCHRONAR!
NEW NOTE: Pease allow 10 more days for the Smithsonian to register my donation and then people can call for info on some of the Synchronar history.
4. Now it turns out that it wasnt the Smithsonian after all and who ever has got this superbly interesting item and ephemera doesnt want anyone to know about it.
OK, I hope thats brought everyone up to date and cleared up any grey areas
