Broken Commodore palo Alto

Post11 Jul 2018, 12:31

Hi There.

I've picked up a broken Commodore Time Master watch (the Mark 1 version with Palo Alto on the back). It has been through the wars. It's had a battery explode inside it and the battery contact plate has also broken into pieces. Has anyone had any luck fitting another module into these watches before? I know the Mark 2 Commodore module is too big for this model (because of the magnifying lenses that would put them too close to the crystal). I also know the Mk1 modules were very rare.

Anyone update a Mk1 Commodore module with anything else, or have anything that might work inside this one to bring it back to life?

Thanks!

Off hand I can't think of another module with the same dimensions and button orientation as the Commodore, best bet a beat up working watch appears for sale.

Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it's a funny layout, 1pm and 5pm. I'm guessing a really beaten up (yet still working) woman's LED might be the only option. I picked it up very cheaply on the off-chance a little clean of the battery contacts might bring it back to life - but not to be. However it is a lovely feeling watch, and despite all it's scratches and age looks good on the wrist, so if the right module pops up I'll stick with it.

Thanks for the help - I'll see if they still have one!
