Lambda missing segments

Post17 Sep 2018, 10:26

Hi guys,i'm not into led world (just have only 2 in working conditions) so i'm not a fixing leds expert.
I got this unknow Lambda led watch yesterday with two 386 dead battery inside... As i expected the watch doesn't work so i tried to clean the board as i usually do with LCDs....and the green-blue acid gone off without problem. The watch is now works in this way:

The quartz seems to be ok,i can see the seconds advancing...The wire bonds looks ok without missing or broken one.
Any help is welcome

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Just a little update: no signs of life...seems to be dead. The only info i found is:

"When replacing batteries in this watch you must ensure that the battery contact plate is placed with the three points of contact on the 2 batteries and the quartz crystal otherwise the watch will not function."
