Are these things press back or screw on?

It has been a few years since I really did much with cleaning up old LED watches, and I could have sworn this type is a press on back, but my more gentle efforts on this Benrus branded watch is not working too well, and I don't want to destroy the case learning.

Aren't these press on? Or are they screwed on and I'm just getting old and not remembering right? Either way, I think this one is going to be a bear unless I get some good advice! Thanks for any insights!!

Hi there,

Yes, this IS a press-on/snap-on back. However, when you go to snap the caseback onto the watch case, make sure that you REMOVE the screw-in battery hatches, FIRST, before attempting to press it on. Why? Because, the module generally CANNOT withstand the sudden downward pressure of the caseback being snapped into place, WITH the battery hatches installed, and the batteries already installed. I cannot TELL you how many watches I have encountered over the years, whose modules had been cracked and destroyed, by someone trying to snap the caseback on, WITH those battery hatches and the batteries themselves, having already been pre-installed.
..Anyway, I hope this advice helps, and good luck!

Cheers,
Charles
