There are two old timepieces, I guess they were made in smallest quantities for presents. Here they are after my repair.
The second watch had the sample of microchip assembly, besides I've got a draw of wire bonding, so I decided to make a few assemblies just in case.
I took ebauches of new assembles and chips. Big IC - chip and two ICs for 4 and 7 transistors, also micro resistor assembly. All parts are original, not used and produced approx at that time (+ - 2 years)
The next step is to glue with epoxy components in the same order like in sample.
So we can start wire bonding. I use aluminium wire and manual wire bonder.
All ICs are bonded according to draw
It's time to glue caps
Cut our assembly out the frame
Then soldering assembly to the board
Here the sample of wire bonding the new old stock chip into one of the earliest soviet LED watch (proto B6-03). Old defected chip is removed and then new chip is glued in with epoxy
Using ultrasonic wire bonder connecting our chip to the board
The proof of the pudding is in the eating...
