Should I change the name of my auctions to "Crazy Majestyk's Bargain LED Watches. Premium LED Watches at Discount Prices".

Well, anyone from the UK is welcome to bid or make an offer on my stuff. Although I should have followed my own advice on that one...Never put up BUY IT NOW's. On Ebay, people live for the bid. Hey I might have made a catch phrase there. :-) I'm not complaining by the way, I made a good profit on it. I'm just boggled that it got over $600. (No offence to the winning bidder...It's a nice watch). It will make an interesting experiment when I start shipping stuff from the UK shortly.

You know I'm starting to love that name I came up with, for my auctions. One day when I auction my last watch, I'm seriously going to use it. :-D

Jeff,

To change the subject a little I’ve always wondered what DSLR and lens do you use for taking your auction pictures they are exquisite, the depth of field is perfect and the focus is pin sharp.

Just curious... :-)

This is what I get for having a multi-lingual forum. Good show on the auctions - both of you guys. Just goes to show that LED craziness is nowhere near over!! :o CHARGE!!!! :x

Hum, I was able to read some of that...I think. Anyway, relax. The point of my post wasn't to criticize your auctions. Why would I do that when you got $600+ for it? I don't think you could have done anything better. (Or worse). I just found it interesting that I had such little interest in it then suddenly it gets about $340 more. Some of the offers I had on that watch were down right bad. But like I said, Buy it Now's just don't work the way they used to.

By the way, the chances of your high bidder seeing this post are mighty slim and I knew that from the begining. If he was someone that I've seen around the LED block, I wouldn't have left your link. Even the regulars haven't been around here in ages...Where are all the posts, by the way?

Anyhoo, I shall remove the link to your auction and in the future when I leave links to auctions, I'll do it in a better context.

Jeff

PS: Ok, Gary. That wasn't the watch I sold you. We can all sleep better now. :-D

Carage? You mean you got $700 with your crazy handling charges.

Anyway, I'm glad you told me about not talking about your watches again. I was just about to put up a new web site called nivaarhuskywatchtalk.com but I guess I'll hold off on that idea.

By the way Gary, if you really are concerned about your bidders reading this forum, I would suggest you cool your heals with the replies here. They don't paint the most rosy picture of you as a seller and a person.

To bad more people couldn't be like holly35. Now he's cool! ;-)

Don't suck me in here.....I have no explaination or all-encompassing theory on why different auctions go differently for different people. I do no that customs tax(duty) plays a abig factor for European buyers. And distance shipping freaks some people out.

AS far as regulars coming here...things seem to be picking up with summer fading, every year seems to sprout a new batch of collectors(along with the passing of some old ones), and understandably some might not have liked some of the activity of recent months.

Glad you guys are winding down on this thread.....I've got a new general question that came about in a slightly bitchy email foray I had with a seller and forum member. Under ebay.

I have a suggestion how to improve quality on this board and also on ebay ;-)
Automatically delete all postings and auctions that fulfill at least one of these criteria:
- ALL CAPITALS
- not a single period (full stop) or comma
- exclusive usage of huge fonts

For those who don't know: this ->.<- is a period. It is used at the end of a sentence. Now how do I explain what a sentence is? I was never good at grammar...

It's funny - every time I try to read one of fifeman's postings or nivaarhusky's auctions I fell like breathless after a few words. So I have to stop reading. I tried really hard, but never succeeded in reading a full "sentence" - maybe 2 lines on a good day.
Could this be an inborn reflex to keep my sanity? ;-)

Oh - I know I had better not written this, now I'm in the line of fire - but I'm bulletproof in this regard :-)

Don't be so sensitive fifeman. People might wonder why you're overreacting, they might think you've something to hide and that is not the case surely? The fact that you buy single watches and then sell a similar one with tags on is just a coincidence right? Majestyks not the only person who's seen this happen, I have as well. Well done for selling them for a profit but don't try and bullshit us in this forum about them being NOS blah blah blah - half the boxes don't match up for starters.

Rewolf isn't being smart, it's basic forum good manners on virtually all forums not to use capitals unless you want to shout. Punctuation is good as well, it makes your arguments get taken more seriously.

Greeting has 2 "e"'s in it, that includes the Scots word for crying as well as saying "hello".

To all the other non Scottish memebers - fifeman is typing in an accent - try reading "trainspotting" by Irvine Welsh. The "poem" might well have been in Doric - an accent/dialect used up in Aberdeen and generally considered bloody difficult to understand by anyone from outside the area.

Fifeman - we have no real problems with you or what you're doing, just accept that we do know something about Leds and that we're not stupid.

.....matching Boxes to the proper items is an Art and Science. Sometimes I think people get a little anal about it on the lesser brands. A Pulsar P2 in a Calc. box is dead wrong. A run-of-the-mill Hamilton in a Hamilton box from the same techological era is not a major transgression - IMO. Companies frequently change boxes and packaging for a variety of reasons, including glitches with their suppliers.

I just looked back at the original post and ebay link....NOW I think I understand the shock Jeff is feeling. $260 was a little low, IMO. I know those are widely considered "fugly", but.....there is always some guy that needs a "funkly" watch to go with his shiny, polyester shirts. You just need to hold out long enough. The first LED I ever sold was one of those, to a guy from Texas...he seemed to think it was funny when I suggested his friends would call him,"Big Daddy Bling".

Fifeman:you definately get a gold star for "fantastic turn-over on an ebay purchase".

Too funny.
