first CCCP Soviet LED watch produced continuosly 1977-1990 !!!
the Russians produced their own LED to show that they also know microelectronics.
But that was already a few years after LED watches were "something".
Also producing them all the way in the 80's probably makes the Elektronika I the second longest produced LED watch after the Synchronar
Now that is called economy-of-scale with a nice break-even point when a technology becomes totally obsolete.
This piece was made 1984 as shown on the quartz crystal.

I'm not sure if you know but during communism most products in the Soviet Union had their official retail price "printed" to prevent excess income by resellers
this watch cost 6 rubles and 50 kopeyks.
