Mk1 Driver transistor

Post24 Aug 2008, 08:39

Hi All.
I've open up the black Synchronar mentioned in the previous post, and removed the old batteries. They had not leaked at all, so that was a nice surprise.

However, when I connect a 3V supply, the last digit doesn't light. This was the case before I opened the module (although very dim, I could make out the first 3 digits with the old NiCads).

Anyway, does anyone know which of the transistors in the below image is the driver transistor for the last digit (ie. if the time was 12:34, the "4" is missing):

Please forgive me for pinching this image from another thread.

Rgds,
Andrew.

Andrew, You will need to take a photo of your PCB. The one you have chosen is a MK I with DOT display.I should have mentioned in your last querry that ANY BLACK! Synchronar is not a MK I because the BC model came later on the MK II.Although the famous con man Phil and perhaps his brother Javier sold fake Mk I dot matrix display Black Synchronars at ebay, they simply did not really exsist. These were put together by him and friends from stolen merchandise he recieved before my father passed.

Check with member Rklumpp in Germany once you have a photo of the Mk II you have.He may be able to help with the transistor driver problem.
Membership status is unknown due to lack of communication.
