A picture would help a lot, as Polara was a model line which covered dozens of very different case styles and finishes.

Gary, your email address is below every post you make already. No need to put it in a post. But for all the trouble, why not just post a picture? Others are always curious; although, it can lead to commentary you may wish to avoid.

Right, and I'm Jed Clampet. You know, we've gone through this before - not sure why you try so hard. It was funny how you were so easy to trip up when I wrote you last week and asked why you were making the new account( gizzer31 ), and told you that if the issue was that you had forgot your password on this user name I could re-issue one. And you even responded back,"nah, just leave it as it is." M:)W:)M Your multiple personalities have been discuss both on and off forum before.

Embarressing to have to deal with this. First one was the Dad(1), then another was the son(2)who was unemployed and living in the basement, then the third iteration was their cousin(3)(later Uncle(4)....even later not related(5?)) living in Scotland. But send all mail to the same address as Dad(1). M:)W:)M Majestyk went through the same thing with the Trinity of Gibb and it was an source of bemusement to both of us from what I remember.

Well at least 'they' have stopped making the bombastic ebay ads,all in caps, claiming, NOS,NEVER WORN,BEST YOU"LL EVER SEE,ONCE OWNED BY ELVIS,LAST OWNED BY MICHAEL JACKSON(r.i.p. sorry Micky)

"Holly" had a lot of mismatched packages last time he put up pictures here, so my real concern was his attempt to circumvent our members looking at and commenting on what he was selling. I like everyone to use this site and the gallery for a sales medium - the price is right but we are a tough crowd on the details. Been spanked myself. !@@!

Oh, I've been through more than my fair share of that...I could direct you to the threads, but you'll have more fun browsing and finding them on your own [if you haven't already seen them...]. I knew collectors could be competitive, but for sheer nerve and downright mean-spiritedness, I've bumped into a few who set a whole new high [or would it be low?] standard. Stay tuned for future developments...

yes ,you have hit the hail on the head here.
i made a simple request to say i have an item for sale,i had problems with that photo shak ,whatever you call it , and thought it would be much better simply to send my high res pics to any interested parties.
firstly thanks to bucko for trying to actually help me.
(still have problems with it) however gee whizz whats the problem ? if your interested you click a mouse to ask for some pics.if you like it fine ,if you dont thats also fine.

the six e mailers who responded had no problem with this,i have no problem with it,but ed obviously has.
the item went to a wonderful woman from the states who bought it for her husbands birthday.nice
however ed just couldnt help but drag some old argument from last year to the surface.after all he had no interest in the item some why cast up some old crap.
i think possibly a tad of jelously and a huge chip on his shoulder may be the cause. who knows.(getting in on his patch i fear)
its a shame he seams to have short temper and its my way or no way attitude , all very childish and imature. i am shure many would agree.
lighten up ,let your hair down, and live a little . M:)W:)M
by the way i have a mint boxed led watch from cleopatras personal collection.very early technology ,uses grains of sand instead of a quartz crystal and you need to sit on top of a pyramid to recharge it.
im sittin on top of the world ,just rolling along singing a song
thats entertainment folks!

My concern stems from someone circumventing the very normal and [for most] fairly easy to use photo posting system. The space is free but the very educated membership gets to critique what you are selling, both good and bad. My last few months have been full of sales, so your suggestion of jealousy is laughable - besides, many of your pieces were bought directly or indirectly FROM me. In one of your personas or another.

I have provided two different spaces for people to sel here at no cost AND I encourage everyone who has a website to put it in both their profile and their signature line.

This may be a public park, but even a public park needs a director. A tough, lonely dirty job - like cleaning a bathroom.

i seam to remember how possibly this ill feeling, anamosity began.
a couple years back (when the £ to $ exchange rate was favourable on the £ side) i could easily buy items from the usa and neighbouring countries and sell them on . i am sure every one would agree that europe was the hot destination for most watches, higher demand than in the usa.however the down side of buying anything from the us ment risky shipping (unless you opted for expensive shipping) and expensive customs and vat duties.
many people simply would not entertain buying from the us for these reasons, choosing to buy from home european countries that offer no vat duties and safer shipping.i seam to remember,as you state i bought a few items from you and another seller .i paid you both your asking prices ( one a "shop" price and the other a "buy now" you gladly took the money.(still big bucks then)
later i think i doubled my money when i sold them on.(to european customers)
both of you seamed completley pissed off at this.
you pays your money and takes your choice.some you win some you loose, ( i know i have lost heaps with some bum buys)thats life.
various "cloak and dagger" shinanagins ,begain and it snowballed, from there, nasty e mail ensuied and it got out of control.
todays market is quite different.the exchange rate is now crap , and its expensive to bother buying in the us.capering and joking apart,
i would like to put out my hand
to offer an olive branch to you to make some peace, to get on and hopfully move on.life is to short to bear a grudge.
you have to admit, it has kept members transfixed and increased the entertainment factor.today on a final more serious note.i enjoy viewing this forum and wish to continue to do so.what do you say :(
oh and would you consider lifting the "curse" on my pm message ,and allow me to speak with others withould the hassle?
(still bamboozled with this image shak thingthough)

Well Holly35, everyone has a different version of this. My version has some parrallels to your, but some deviations.

I agree you bought off me, but under several different personas, which became quite "Kafkaesque", leading me to eventaully tell you - no more. The sales were nice.

The sales you made at "doubled my money" were not believed by many, and various attempts were made to determine if you were shilling your own items, in a mad attempt to raise your standing as a seller who can garner the big bucks. Totally pedestrian items, generally in the $300-400 range. Unless you double their price.

I don't wish to keep the members transfixed or entertained with this type of b.s.

I blocked you from sending PMs the day you formed the other account last week - members with two accounts, who can send messages from both accounts to play people back and forth has been a MAJOR source of trouble for myself and the founder of this site.

With all the effort you put into this you should be able to learn how to use the Image Shack link. Point being: you have no incentive, you want people to contact you directly, one at a time, and pick the lowest hanging fruit. Which will probably be some poor newbie, who will feel totally disenfranchised when he finds out he paid double the going rate. I'd rather keep the newbie than the trouble making sneak you have repeatedly proven to be.

Going forward:
A. add an email address to your "holly35" account.
B. I will turn your PM priviledges on, but will disable both email and PM in the other account. You cannot be trusted to show restraint, IMHO. !@@!

ok
you seam to be delving far too deep on this method of selling. its way over my head with your thinking.i had a fixed price .you buy it ,or you dont simple.
over priced? check out the price for the same watch on your site.
regarding the doubling your money fiasco it refered to a hamilton i think ,any way your at it again, have you the complete inability to refrain from insulting people.gee whizz man i am trying to move on here its not the way forward.your cheap IMO comments are part of the problem..try keeping them to yourself. i dont know if its actually worth the bother ? still dont know about another account.i have one e mail address and thats it.please be my guest and scrap any other accounts set up last week as i know nothing about it.
if you agree to move on them i am happy to continue viewing the site.oh and i am most certianly not a sneak
