It's nice but it's a ladies watch isn't it?

This is the "Miss V" - a ladies watch, but rather big (case size 32mm x 35 mm).

The exact model on the picture is "W32 L4 Vermeil case with snake strap «cognac»".

Quote from Ventura collection catalogue 2005:
Ventura re-discovers Vermeil
The Incas made the first known Vermeil objects. In the neo-classical Empire, Vermeil was the favored material for precious jewelry and tableware, and the twenties of last century were the «golden age» of Vermeil watches, which are now regularly appearing at auctions.
Vermeil consists of 925 sterling silver and 18 or 22 ct. gold. Historically, the gold was applied on the open fire with the aid of mercury and had a reddish appearance. The method was abandoned for environmental reasons, and today, silver and gold are merged by a special galvanic method.
Vermeil is a precious metal certified by the stamps of the Official Authorities. Ventura is proud to re-introduce this sensuous but largely «forgotten» metal in its new V-line of contemporary lady’s watches.

I have no pricelist with the W32 on it, but the other models (Durinox steel W30, W31) were sold off for ~500 EUR when Ventura stopped operation.

I know how you feel Mr Frequency, to quote Shakespeare: "LED or LCD - That is the question!" Okay, maybe that is paraphrasing Shakespeare.
I solved the problem many years ago, the answer is: BOTH!
It looks like you are on you are well on your way to same conclusion. :-D

It's a very nice watch BTW - if it's big enough I say wear it. If it's too small for you, then Valentine's Day is around the corner.

I guess I could earn some brownie points and let the missus wear it, but that's one hell of a $500 valentines present M:)W:)M If it looks too camp on my wrist I will admire it for a while, then throw it back into the eBay pond and make a note to not drink two bottles of vino and let myself loose on eBay.

That depends on your wrist size. IMO it's ok up to ~19cm. Personally I'd have more problems with the strap and the gold tone than with the size ;-)

Ha ha, i have this thing with loving gold plate watches, and i agree the strap is over the top, but again this is why i love it. I even prefer my GF Pulsar's to the SS versions... hmmm, i wonder what that says about me :-D

Just in case you decide to take the brownie points:
Here's one for you to bid on: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320653721216.
Unfortunately not gold plated, but a nice strap and real diamonds on the face . Has some "drawer blemishes"...

Sparc px W11.05 A, G: Steel, diamonds, Louisiana alligator or galuchat strap; original price 8000€, reduced to 6000€

Ah, that's the same seller I bought mine from. He said if I'm after any other Ventura to let him know. What he don't know yet is that i might ask for a trade back on the one i just bought :-D

I like the design and the button placement. If Ventura would have made a larger model for men I think they would of had some success with it.
