Andy: Those
are a very cool watch - lots of great functions besides the drum machine. Albeit, not a pretty watch. Myself, I am a bass player, and have used that watch(different model) for a meager drum machine or metronome a number of times - I try to keep one in my bass case. Hang it on a microphone and off we go!
They were sold under a least one other "brand" - Stanton. I have at least 9-10 of them around here. I already had the True Kiss version, so no loss to me. There is also a Disney World Japan version, a Suzuki Instruments version, "Artist's Signature", etc. And both the Stanton and Seiko branded ones came in green, brown, red, blue, clear, black, yellow. And probably the occasion special edition with shiny trim or such.
I loved that guys description. The small, English grammatical errors made it feel very genuine - it was big deal in his country, in the day.
