Wow, yeah, Hanno has been busy! I like the new look too, but of course, I am a bit biased.

I agree with Kasper that the ability to add a personalized icon gives members a little bit of an opportunity to say a little something about themselves and what they're interested in, which is important.

The monochrome color scheme is a complementary counterpart to strikesandspares, different enough to be unique but still similar enough to hint at an association - nice branding. I just noticed the Strikes and Spares International page with the four different divisions. Wow, Hanno has come a long ways from just a few years ago with his first humble web site to now with a full line of modules and complementary web sites.

Also, it would be nice if there were an easier way to get back to the home page than clicking the "breadcrumb" navigation path at the top. I'd expect that clicking on the logo or banner should bring you back.

It is looking very nice. You have been very busy Hanno and it is showing. I like the new topics and the monochrome theme.

@Abe suggestion ..could you bring the text in the banner a little higher so we can see the shadow a bit better..and the space above is a little more filled?
or better..bring in another picture...eugh a Lcd watch :-D like the seiko D031

and yes..clicking on the banner should bring us back to the board index.

Will need to get used to it a little, i already found the neverending word association topic,
after digging around in the forum...search option is always handy. ;-)
Congratulations on getting it back on track...."thumbs up" :-D

Great new look to the place :-D

The 'log me on automatically' option or notification of reply to post do not appear to be working?

I agree with Kasper the text in the heading would be better shown a little higher up to fully show of the letter reflection.

Does Abe get royalties? ;-)

Well it was me who did the banner, but Abe took the photo of the P1 Of course I can put the text a bit higher. It seems that we are having problems with the email notification again, so I have to solve these problems first.

But I will set a link to the forum main page and install moderators later once the forum is running properly.

I like the new look. It's like when you get a new pair of shoes, they don't feel as comfortable as the old pair but look a lot better!

At the moment, I have no suggestions for improvement. Which means I'm happy with it. Thank you, Hanno!

hi everybody,
I'm back again and see only positive changes, very clear and simplistic design.
thanks Hanno for the effort of uniting the digital community after all these years.
I'd start with an invitation list to the old guys from Europe, some of them are not present anywhere, not sure if alive though.

Humm...

Well...I liked the graphics of the old forum 's homepage (blinking brain, LEAD watch...ect), but the text justification here now looks better. It will take some getting used to I guess.

Anyway, just my 2 cents worth.

hi Andy,
thanks for the thumb up,
I'm not sure if I'm 100% mentally back to this forum as I lost some heart but I will give it another try.
I can see new threads that have been covered in detail years ago but the old ones are nowhere to be found.
I wonder if this is a new beginning of some sort.

Nice suggestion :-D. Is is because you are very familiar with Macrolon GP watch in my (current) avatar? ;-)

Nice to see Piotr back. I always felt it was a big loss when he "was left" the forum.

problem,
when I have a few tabs open (viewing different forum threads) and I log in while present in one tab I still need to log in on the other tabs one by one. Refreshing each tab does not help.
