I have a nicely used looking, surprisingly well made 44mm sterile early Davidsen. It is simply on par with the pre-Cartierised (pre Vendome Swiss Made) italian made 5218.
It has a Unitas/ETA 6497 which is performing beyond reasonable expectation but which simply does not look right behind the rear window.
With a bit of tlc the Molnija chronometer will be an improvement in my eyes.
I have a crown stem adaped so it fits both the crown and the Molnija but the correct hour- and minute hands are unexpectedly unobtainable.
As these are the centre of attention I want them to be able to carry that burden.
There is always a solution so it will get sorted but it is taking time.

I will make one as nice as literally conservative restoration can get it, and the rest is available for projects. The rougher finished, véry late one is as new and is ideal for spares.
