Can anyone date this sekonda ?

Post27 Apr 2012, 18:39

Hi All

Low-cost bargain (99p) from 'you know where'. Looks 70's and a peek inside teh back indicates a ceramic pcb.
Module also takes 2 cells. But does anyone knowhow old. Hong Kong made on the back, but the front buttons and strap reek of 70s.

I would say 77- 78 but as it is Sekonda and Russian it may just be pushing 79-80. I dont think anyone else was going to the expense of ceramic boards by then. They sometimes have a date on their boards if you look closely. If you have time James could you send me some shots so I can add that model to the digitalwatchlibrary site?

thanks

Hi Adam

Thanks - that's about what I figured. I will definately try and make some pics. In fact I tried just now
but I only have a cell phone camera (& 35mm SLR 8-) ), and while they were 'OK', not good enough for your site
I don't think. I'll try in daylight.

Cheers
