What could be the value of these two LCD watches?

Post04 Jun 2012, 18:53

Hi everybody! After I was searching in my house for my old surviving LCD watches that I used to wear before I switched to LED ones, I've found these two LCD watches, the first one has the Le Cel brand (Le Cel? Is there someone who knows more about this company?), was given to me by a friend who found it in a garage, and it's the watch I used to wear before my granddad gave me the Beltime/Bino LED watch, while the second one with the Alexander brand was bought many years ago as a New Old Stock from an old shop that used to sell only vintage NOS appliances.

Both watches work properly, and they don't have batteries in order to avoid corrosion, although the melody feature on the Alexander watch never worked, and when you pressed the light button, the more you kept the button pressed and the more the digits on the screen faded away, dunno why. Here's a picture of the watches in question:

What could be the current value of these LCD watches? They might be probably 20 years old, or more. I have no idea how old these watches are and how much valuable they might be. If they have some value I could sell them, since I don't use them anymore...

almost worth nothing Enzo.

rebrands of rebrands. Most of the time it has a cheap hongkong build module. I have to see the module to know more.
But these watches are made (in mass) in the beginning of the 80ties.

how many do you want :-D this is just one box of many.

I just saw one for you : Italia 90 the original :-D

Thank you for the info Kasper! At least now I know that their value isn't great. After I took my first LED watch, now I'm somewhat allergic to LCD watches :-P Once I used to have some old LCD calculator watches from the '80s, they featured a strange unknown brand (Tassel) and they looked like cheap Casio clones. Always bought them in NOS conditions from the shoppe I've mentioned above. They didn't last more than eight months.
