Jules Jurgensen Optcom 1

Post22 Mar 2013, 11:07

Nice watch but the seller has very high expectations when it comes to the value especially considering the working condition is unknown!

Hi everyone,

£2500 or $3795 this guy reminds me of Danny Kaye when he turned into his Walter Mitty Mode who in their right mind would fork out this kinda money for a dubious watch with "NO RETURNS ACCEPTED" must put this one on my watch list.

THe nerve! He turned down my $600 offer - I did point out the lack of working condition, no return.

Hi Ed,

Just on principle I offered a hair under $900USA(didnt bother to use a currency convertor.) The seller comes here infrequently, we've had this issue before of him thinking he had the crown jewels.

Price reduced a bit.
Yes, that looks like a missing segment on the right, richard.

The missing segment might just be the photo, there is some 'cloudiness' on the photo around that area.
I think Ed's $900 bid was a good bid, I purchased a watch with the same module (flashing display) from Greg Zanoni not so long back for a lot less than that.
If the watch is fully working I wouldn't consider it a piece of rubbish, it is a nice watch it's just not worth the money the seller is asking.
Could a missing segment be repaired? I sure I have read the display was vacuum sealed? I suppose if it is a contact issue then it could be done.

Just noticed, after doing an eneded items search, this watch came back up for sale in April, at a much lower price, and ended at £595.
