Otron,the project begin

Post05 Nov 2013, 21:09

Hi!!!Ciao!!!
As i said i found this watch as non working...a very basic Otron made probably in the early 80's (maybe 1980-81)
I open the watch and i found a dead battery with corrosion here and there...so i clean all the circuit board,as you can see...

The plastic present only one broke point (not visible in pic) but overall in great shape condition..i also clean the zebra contact

Well it's time to reassembling the watch....ohhhhh,it's works again!!! only time date and sec...no light... :-P

Now it's time to found a a good matching strap...and i think a black leather is good...it's only 16mm...so very very small...but ideal for my wrist.

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way
