Less ebay fees..... maybe £20 profit on the original selling price?

Not worth several hundred then :grin1:

It would have been fun to have had a little guessing pool to see who could guess the closest. Maybe next time (if it gets flipped again).

I actually thought it was quite a nice piece regardless of what it was worth or what it sold for or whatever. I imagine that those little facets must look pretty nifty sparkling in the sunshine. I hope it finds its way into the hands of a careful and appreciative owner, whoever that may be (it wasn't me).

I did try but my thread was pulled AGAIN :-?
No explanation I Pm'd some of you and you joined in. 8-)
I must say to my relief that I was the closest :-D under£185 (verified) ;-)
As the prize I had in mind was quite substantial.
Then again I was quietly confident.
(anyone who hasn't already had a pm for reason for my lowly estimate can Pm me and I will respond)
"don't want this to get pulled as well " :grin1:
Unless the powers that be say that I can say "that the word must be getting out there via
this forum. keeping the price of a piece that's been bought, then de-flowered of it's past.
(Originality) Just for monetary gain, runs the risk of being seen for exactly what it is"
I'll have to keep it to just a Pm. Oh dear to late. !@@!
Still :dwf:

I'm almost glad that I didn't know that the auction was running low as it would have been difficult not to succumb to the temptation to bid (plus I've been buying too many watches lately anyway). This sort of thing does bring up a bit of an ethical quandary, doesn't it?

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see this watch back up for sale in the future, with the same seller, IMO he either won the watch himself through shill bidding, or if not he'll make some bull excuse to the buyer about it going missing in the post or similar however this is just my opinion and they're like arseholes everyone has one.

I'm sorry but I'm gonna disagree with you on the shill bidding It would have gone a lot closer to the £285 that one member guessed at on here.

Also whether or not your right. your views are sailing close to the wind of what I would consider tolerable to be written on here.
What's more it's just fanning the flames that some of us here are trying to put out.
Put another way, someone being the biggest twat this side of Texas, doesn't make any of us look any better.
Or worse for that matter.
Although you are entitled to your opinion. and I'm not a Mod.

Gary if your reading this for once be the bigger man and don't bite. (unless you wanna give them what they want)
