Another bleeding Seiko 0624 5009....

Post13 Feb 2014, 11:15

Hi guys,

here's my Seiko 0624 5009, which I've bought some days ago for a very low price 8-).

Of course, it has the common problem of "bledding" display. Instead, the cosmetic condition is very good and it also has the original bracelet.

Here is my question ;-): the module seems to work, so the only thing I need is a new display panel. Finding the original display could be very difficult and expensive, so I am thinking to "swap" the display from another model. A similar model that I've found is the Seiko F039 5000, but I don't know if the display can be fitted on the 0624, which is very earlier.
What do you thnk :-D?

Thanks!

No,you can't use the F039 5000 display....you coud try to search a not working 0624 or 0644 with a good lcd panel....or you can use a 0662 module with the 0624 panel in case your original module is dead :-P
Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Thank you Simone (another italian here :o).

Do you think that the 0644 is more common than the 0624?
And what about the green film of the 0624? The 0644 does not have it .....

Sorry for all the members forum....now i speak italian for a while...

That's all.....

Thank you Simone for your answer (I'm not gonna speak italian 'cause I have to test my English knowledge :mega:).

I will try to find something on the famous online shop (I don't know if I can say the name, so I'm not gonna say it) but.....I have never got any patience so I don't know how it will be the research.

Anyway, I will ask the display on the forum for sure ;-)!
