I am pretty sure it fits in the groove, the push into the container squeezing the clip so that it friction fits in the container.

Ps. If it works now then great, problem is it might rotate while in the container. Maybe slip a small battery gasket in the groove and push it into the container.

its almost impossible to fit it in the container with the ring round the piezo. I all ready lost 2 nails

If it works great! Maybe try the battery gasket o-ring trick. Fit it in the groove tightly but large enough in diameter that it is larger then the holding ca. This will prevent it from moving around and the contacts shifting causing a short.

Actually i got the same watch, but in Stainless Steel with matching Stainless Steel bracelet. Amazing watch, too bad it is so small, it would be a great mens watch if it was like 1.5 - 2 x larger.
