Newbie, Citizen DQ7511 300m SR P130.

Post05 Oct 2014, 10:42

Hi all,
Thanks for letting me join the forum. I recognize a few of your name from other forums and you may know my name ,Ive being around for a while now. I have a decent collection of vintage digital s ,all Japanese. Always on the look out for for more to add. I have just come across this Citizen DQ7511 with the P130 calibre movement. I bought in a lot buy and it needed cleaning up etc. So with a new battery installed and no sign of any damage /old battery leakage inside. I was optimistic that fingers crossed it would come to life. Well it does for 2 seconds then dies, press all 4 pushers and its the same every time , 2seconds of nice bright and sharp display then nothing. I was wondering if any one had a solution or something to try to help me with this problem . Its a frustrating problem so close to working, but seems far away from sorting it out .
If no fix possible I will have to move it it on and keep an eye out for a working example.
Thanks for looking and hopefully looking forward to some forthcoming help.

Cheers Yorkie

Hi And welcome to our board. "willkommen"

can you make a shot with the backplate off?
Did you make a close contact + and - together to reset the watch?

:dwf:

Hi Kasper<
thanks for the reply. No I didn't short the + and - contacts. I couldn't find anywhere it says to do it . Most of my digitals have it saying on the inside of the caseback or in the instructions . I can see the + and _ marks on the movement . What do you reckon , guess I have nothing to loose.

Thanks Yorkie
